Wendy Shang

Wendy writes about different aspects of the Chinese American experience with humor, heart and a sense of history. She is the author of multiple middle grade books, including The Great Wall of Lucy Wu, winner of the Asian Pacific American Librarian Association Children’s Literature Award.  She is also the author of the picture book, The Rice in the Pot Goes Round and Round, and adapted the Netflix original, Over the Moon, into a novel. Wendy also works on race and justice issues for the Pretrial Justice Institute. She lives with her family in Falls Church, Virginia.
