Traci Huahn
Traci Huahn

Traci Huahn writes to delight and inspire young readers with both fiction and nonfiction stories–many of them rooted in Asian American culture, history, and identity. She’s also passionate about engaging kids in courageous conversations about race and believe books are one of the best ways to begin.

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Traci is the daughter of immigrants from China and Hong Kong. She loves traveling far and near, but home is where her heart is and she still lives close to where she grew up. Most days you can find her there, along with her husband, two kids, and a pup who loves to chew anything she can get her paws on.

Her debut picture book, Mamie Fights to go to School: Based on a True Story, is forthcoming from Crown Books for Young Readers in 2024.
